Something absolutely incredible happened on Sunday afternoon (March 5): Seven of #Montreal's greatest and most beloved soul, jazz and gospel #divas—(L to R) Geraldine Hunt, Zina Edwards, Kim Richardson, Vivienne Dean, Ranee Lee, Alma Faye Brooks and Michelle Sweeney—were honoured at Playmas Montreal Cultural Association's 8th annual A Taste of Tea event celebrating #InternationalWomensDay, in the Côte-des-Neiges Community Centre ballroom
👠 These women were celebrated with all the pomp, love,
admiration and respect they deserve. At one point all seven divas gathered
onstage together for this classic photo for the ages! Then they each sang some!
Nothing like this has ever happened in Montreal before! This was #DIVA CENTRAL, without any of the
drama! Major props to organizer Gemma Raeburn-Baynes for rolling out the red
carpet and uniting these genuine Montreal treasures all under one roof for the
first time ever! Today was nothing less than historic. BRAVA! 👠 #MTLmoments
